Anti-Angry Birds Bill

After his proposed House Bill 5316 or the Anti-Planking Bill, Quezon City 2nd District Rep. Winston “Winnie” Castelo again blasts another intriguing and interesting proposal.  His House Bill 5379 or the Anti-Angry Birds Bill caught my attention.  House Bill 5379 or the Anti-Angry Birds Bill aims to monitor the diversity, quality and quantity of items bearing the angry birds likeness.  According to the draft, a stall shall have no more than two kinds of the said birds emblazoned on its items. Items under the scope of the bill, includes but is not limited to: cups, mugs, pens, crayons, stickers, underwear, t-shirts, lingerie, cellphone accessories, plush dolls, action figures, books, spoon & forks, plates, caps, children’s toys, pins, clothing accessories, hair accessories, pants, shorts, watches, flash drives, wrist straps, pillows, candies, and stationary items among others. Items not stated above but bears semblance or similarity to the Angry Birds franchise are subject to the law as well.  A witness told that Rep. Castelo went to 168 Mall in Divisoria to buy gifts for his godchildren.  But when he saw that most of the items there have Angry Birds sticker he just walked-out.
Violators to this law will be sentenced to 6 months solitary confinement to a special facility called “The Angry Birds Room”  inside the New Bilibid Prison. The room will be composed of an Angry Birds toilet, sink, tissue paper & soap, as well as walls painted with scenes from the game. Eating utensils for the inmate will also come standard with the said designs. Vendors who are found guilty are also subject to the confiscation of the prohibited items which will then be burned or donated to “The Angry Birds Room”.
Wow!  What does it feels like to be inside “The Angry Birds Room”?  If you want to try let’s wait for this bill to be pass and it’s up to you to go.

Rhema Marvanne - An Angelic Voice

While browsing on my Facebook Account I tend to see an interesting video from one of my friends.  I checked it out and listened to the music.  It was a very inspiring music and it made me ask myself “Who is singing that song?  She sings like an angel”.  I found out that this cute little girl named Rhema Marvanne melted my heart.  Here are some info that I got from this girl.
Rhema Marvanne (born Rhema Marvanne Voraritskul, September 15, 2002) is a gospel singer from Carrollton, Texas, USA.
She is the daughter of Teton and Wendi "Mercy" Marvanne Voraritskul. Teton's father, Chai Voraritskul was an immigrant from Thailand, while Wendi died of ovarian cancer on November 8, 2008 at the age of 36.  Rhema gained Internet fame at the age of six after recording her first song, "Amazing Grace". Rhema Marvanne is eight years old and she loves her father and her dog Mojo. They attend The Branch Church in Plano, TX. Rhema was baptized on October 18, 2009 after accepting Christ as her Savior.
During his baptism, Rhema is actually singing "Amazing Grace"; at that particular moment Butler goes from a bad guy to a good guy, and then goes to South Africa to save all the little kids from the war.
She also appears in Gerard Butler's 2011 film Machine Gun Preacher where Butler plays a drug dealer-turned-crusader on a mission to save kids.
Rhema recently appeared on the Maury Polvich show highlighting the most talented kids, she was on International News via Supreme Master TV – Global Satellite which is shown in 44 countries in 60 languages and aired on June 16, 2010 every 6 hours for different time zones, she recorded both her Albums in Nashville. Her songs are sold on iTunes, Amazon.com as well as through her website's Official Store. She recently recorded The Prayer with Terry White and musicians from the Nashville Symphony and recently released her Christmas Album, All Seasons. Rhema played her first acting role in Machine Gun Preacher, a multi-million dollar film, set to release Fall 2011 (a Lionsgate Film). Since receiving over 16 million video hits online in 2010 she has appeared on ABC's 20/20, Fox News, CBS, CBN, TBN as well as on Daystar.

Eugenio Torre (born November 4, 1951) is a chess Grandmaster (GM). He is considered the strongest chess player the Philippines has ever produced during the 1980s and 1990s period, following the heels of Fischer-era Filipino chess champions National Master (NM) Ramon Lontoc, International Master (IM) Renato Naranja, IM Rodolfo Tan Cardoso and GM Rosendo Balinas, Jr. Super GM Wesley So is currently the top Philippine chess player.
Torre is a Filipino chess player and the first chess grandmaster in Asia. He is a member of the Philippine chess team for the November 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. He participated in the men's team event.

GM Torre shot to prominence in 1976 as a possible future title challenger after winning a strong four-man tournament in Manila ahead of world champion Anatoly Karpov – thus becoming the first player to finish ahead of Karpov in a tournament since the latter became world champion. The high-point of his career came in the early 1980s when he was ranked world No.17; successfully going on to qualify to be a candidate for the world championship after tying for first with Lajos Portisch during the 1982 Toluca Interzonal.
He made his way to the Chess Olympiads where the best chess players came to compete. He gained the title of grandmaster in 1974, becoming Asia’s first grandmaster of chess. He finished the year with a rating of 2520.
